The Overview
Barefoot Productions, Inc. is a privately held software
development and consulting company located in
Louisville, Colorado. It was founded in 1994 by Don
Metzler, and incorporated in 1997. We specialize in the creation of
quality Windows desktop and network application programs and take pride
and find great passion in doing so. We cater to our customer's needs, and work to
ensure that our software is the best that it can be.
The Beginning
Founded in 1994, Barefoot Productions has provided software development and consulting services for over 35 companies. We have developed over 100 prototype
applications to demonstrate technologies - for our clients as well as internal projects. Since our start we have been continually learning about the development process and always keep current with new technologies by attending the latest and greatest trade shows and professional conferences.
The Office
Our office is located in Louisville, Colorado, which is in
Southeast Boulder county, along the route 36 corridor, just West of Broomfield and the Interlocken Office Park. We have easy access to both Boulder and Denver, as well as being able to retreat when needed to the many activities available in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Out office backs up to open space, which is protected county land in our area,
and provides spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains across the Boulder Valley.
Our
Logo
Our logo is the result of our founder's son - it was captured and digitized from his hospital footprints shortly after birth. While the company was born before this, we were logo-less until this event occurred, and the footprints seemed fitting
for the company name.
The image was sent to Rob Johnson at
Wilson-Johnson Creative,
who turned it into our logo that we use today, on our web
site and in our printed materials. The logo has
recently undergone a 3D update, also done by Rob.
Our
Motto
We believe in creating high-quality, innovative software, and have based our
business on developing software, having fun and
continually striving to make software products better.
Our office has the usual Nerf hoops, video games, weight
room with BowFlex, fully stocked kitchen and even a hot tub out back overlooking the mountains. We also have a state-of-the-art 32-track digital recording studio
(complete with banks for synthesizers, sound modules and
effects processors) which our employees,
partners and friends may use to explore their creative musical abilities.
Our
Journey
From our start in 1994 through present day, we are always exploring new ideas for applications and software. We continually build prototypes of software, many of which do not become products, but teach us many things
in the process. The time we spend developing and refining provides a better quality product and service to our customers and clients.
We believe in creativity, innovation and pushing the
envelope in what we do. We have been members of the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN)
even before it was even made public by Microsoft, and have been a long-time technical reference, answering newsgroup questions and providing assistance to other software developers. We believe that sharing of knowledge is essential for a company and people to grow, and encourage all of our employees to assist others with technical and business solutions as time permits.
Our
Mission
Barefoot Productions' mission is to provide its customers with the highest quality software and consulting expertise. All
of our software is carefully developed for top performance and the lowest consumption of computer resources. Though computer system resources and hard disk space are inexpensive,
we believe that software engineering should be a
well-thought process. At Barefoot Productions, our goal is to
provide high-quality software which is both well-designed and affordable.
We value the feedback and suggestions from customers and apply these suggestions to the software products
we build. This is not only to build better software, but to provide our customers the ability to help design and make the software more useful. We develop user interfaces for programs, which are logical and visually appealing, and base our development on sound, architectures so maintenance and feature additions are easy to do.
Our
Thanks
Finally, we thank all of our past and current customers and clients for supporting our efforts. Without all of them we would not be able to continue doing what it is that we enjoy so much.
In addition, we thank the hard working engineers and support
staff that help make what we do possible. And last,
but not least, our family and friends who make life so
grand. Thank you
all for your support and patronage!
